Sizing up

The weight of your speakers is crucial in determining the right load cells for perfect isolation within the audio waveband. Our carefully calibrated Loadcells ensure the ideal spring-mass load, allowing your speakers to “float” and achieve comprehensive isolation from external vibrations. Once this balance is achieved, you’ll select a platform that fits your speakers as shown in the diagram. If there is a slight overhang at the front or back, this may be acceptable. For speakers that don’t fit any standard platforms, we offer a bespoke service to create a custom stand that perfectly suits your setup.

Calculating the Right Load Cell

To ensure optimal performance, calculate the total weight of your hi-fi rack including all equipment (amplifiers, turntables, DACs, etc.) and the rack itself. Divide this total by four to determine the load per Seismic Corner, then select the appropriate Seismic Load Cell™ rating from our range (e.g., 5-20kg, 20-50kg per corner).
